If you would have told Taylor and Adam in college they would be spending the rest of their lives together, they probably wouldn't have believed you. Although they were friends in nursing school, they had little interaction outside of their clinical rotations and the occasional group projects together. Following graduation, Taylor and Adam seemingly went their separate ways as they took their first jobs at Butterworth hospital. One would think that the two of them being only a floor away from each other would be enough to spark a relationship, but they required a little nudge from the “oh so romantic” online dating world. With so much to learn as new grad nurses, the last thing on each of their minds was finding their soulmate. This all changed one night when the typical 3 am boredom at the hospital got the best of Taylor’s coworkers, and they decided to dabble in matchmaking. Taylor’s love life became their source of entertainment as they took over her online dating account and displayed it on the break room TV for all to see. Who would have thought that one sneaky swipe of a finger would have gotten them to where they are today?! While it seems like fate that Taylor’s coworkers happened to come across Adam’s dating profile that night, Taylor hoped he had somehow missed the notification to avoid the embarrassment of matching with an old friend from college. In typical Adam fashion, it took him a good month to notice that he had matched with Taylor. Fortunately, Adam redeemed himself for his delayed response by taking Taylor to one of her favorite go-to restaurants, Butcher’s Union. A pitcher of sangria later, Taylor and Adam were coming to realize that this would likely be their last first date. These feelings only grew stronger as they got to know each other over the coming months. Since then they have been inseparable, from quick lunches together at the hospital to vacations in new places, they never seem to get sick of each other. One sunny fall day at Bowers Winery in Traverse City, with Adam on one knee, the two of them knew that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. They are so incredibly grateful and excited to be able to celebrate their new beginning and ring in the new year with the people who mean the most to them.
